My family and my home are in eastern Washington, for decades, I have seen our friends and neighbors suffer from foolish governance. In Congress, I will fight for the farmer, rancher, small business owner, tradesperson, and laborer of every walk of life who yearn for a better life for our children. I know work, the trap of low wages, and a family’s everyday struggle against the shrinking dollar. With everything I have, I will fight to restore our American hope and dream for our children and grandchildren.

By restoring our foundational principles of life, liberty, and property while

maintaining the cleanest air, water, and land that are practical, we can still grow our

economic base to secure our future. Armed with a broad background of experience

and education, I possess a high capacity to influence the positive change we all hope

for and need.

First, I offer years of hands-on farming and ranching experience. We lost our family

business due to a state that favored the large corporation over the rancher. Second, I

spent years in the study and practice of law. I am trained in legal writing, analysis,

and the practice of law. We must not allow our judges to be politically seduced but to

follow the law and grant equal justice for all. Third, I have spent years in the study

and application of Chemical Engineering and worked at Hanford to contain nuclear

waste so it could be vitrified. I combined my legal and technical backgrounds and

became an inventor’s attorney. Currently, I serve the Community Health Plan of

Washington in helping the medicaid and medicare members.

I know the struggles of the student working to get through school and then face the

student loan debt. I understand the difficulty of parents trying to pay their bills and

raise a family on a fixed income confronted with the high cost of housing and

vehicles. I have experienced the difficulty of making a small business survive against

all odds. Lastly, I know the limited options seniors face when the insurance company

will not pay the bill and the collectors come knocking.

I will fight for the balance of power, the reduction of national debt, an effective vo-

tech program, and the stimulation of small businesses through the use of innovation.
